Meet Experience Requirements
Gain required work experience in a licensed child care setting. Most states require 1–2 years of experience working directly with children or in a leadership role.
Pass Background and Safety Requirements
Complete a background check and meet health and safety training requirements, such as CPR and First Aid certification, as required by your state.
Apply for Director Qualification
